ZACHARY
LEE {Writer/Director/Editor}
Since 1997, Zak has
written and directed eight short films, including his most recent, Distance
= Rate(Time), which screened at the Black Point Film Festival and
the F4 Film Festival in April, 2003. An accomplished Writer/Director,
Zak is also a talented Director of Photography. In addition to shooting
his own films, he recently acted as 2nd Director of Photography on the
feature film, Billy Todd's War. Currently, Zak serves as a board
member for Central
Productions, Inc., a film arts and production company based
in Cambridge, MA. He also heads the committee for
Boston Cinema Census, a local film festival.
Shortness of Breath marks Zak's first feature film as a director.

JOANNA
JEFFERSON {Producer/Production Manager}
Before coming to Boston, Joanna worked as a Producer/Director for a
small video production house in Cincinnati, OH. Since then, she has
directed two short films and edited four others, including Zak Lee's
most recent short, Distance = Rate(Time). More significantly,
she acted as Producer for five short films within the last two years
- Sole Spirits (also Director), RestArea, To Eat,
The Fourth and Housekeeping.
NINA
FAROUK
{Co-Producer/Location Manager}
Nina has produced and directed a variety of documentary and short
narrative work, including her most recent documentary, Growing Roots.
In addition, she acted as Producer for the short film, By Any Other.
Currently, she is working as an associate producer for Spectrum Media.
MATTHEW PAYNE
{Director of Photography}
Matthew Payne has been shooting film and video for over five years.
In one year alone, he was the Director of Photography on three short
16mm films-By Any Other, To Eat, and Tough All Over.
Matthew currently works as a freelance DP/Gaffer in the Boston area.
DEREK
FRANK {Associate Producer}
Derek has played a key role in over a dozen short films and videos
in the last two years. More notably, he has recently completed his award-winning
short film, By Any Other, which received the Best Narrative Short
award at the New England Film and Video Festival this year.
