BENO
CHAPMAN {Michael}
Beno has been acting since the age of four and has been described by
audiences as "magnetic and engaging." At age seventeen, he
was personally invited to study at the Moscow Art Theater and was also
voted "Thespian of the Year" in his hometown of Santa Cruz,
California. Beno is hardly new to the feature film scene. He has played
major roles in Gavin's Way (labeled one of the "ten best
unseen films of 2000" by Film Threat magazine) and the forthcoming
Billy Todd's War. In addition, he was given a critical role in
the award winning short film Night Deposit (voted best short
film at the Slamdance film festival). Beno's film work has also been
seen at Cannes, Sundance, the Toronto Film Festival and a number of
other festivals worldwide. Beno and Zak have been working together since
1997 and have collaborated on four short films. He currently works at
WGBH in Boston in addition to pursuing his acting career.
GAETANE
JOSEPH {Patricia}
Gaetane makes her feature film debut in Shortness of Breath.
While she is relatively new to the film scene, she has an extensive
theater background. Her roles have included The Vagina Monologues
and When the Cold Wind Burns, which was seen at the African-American
Theater Festival.
PAUL
DIMILLA {Charles}
Paul is a veteran stage and film actor. Among his films are Dance
by Design, Pioneers, and Harrison
Macauley is Going to Kill Me, in which he plays the title role
and which won Third Prize at the 2003 San Antonio Underground Film Festival.
He has appeared onstage with many of the major theatre companies in
eastern New England including the American Repertory Theatre, Merrimack
Repertory Theatre, Publick Theatre, SpeakEasy Stage Company, American
Stage Festival, Penobscot Theatre Company, Seacoast Repertory Theatre,
and Sugan Theatre Company.
